Mt. adams and Olallie Lake

These shots were taken in October of 2021 while scoping the area out for some future night photography. I had planned to just take some sunset photos and check out the lake, but we ended up staying until nightfall and got some great shots. This was one of the most fun and peaceful spur of the moment trips we've ever taken.

Olallie Lake is an alpine lake created by streams from Mt. Adams' many glaciers. It is one of the many lakes that are part of the Midway High Lakes Area which sits at the foot of Mt. Adams.

Mt Adams under a stary sky.
This might be my new favorite picture I've ever captured. Using Fuji Velvia, the colors turned out almost unreal, with the star trails almost looking like fireworks across the sky.
